Read about some truly enchanting weddings we have had the pleasure of attending

Our first, is the story of our fabulous couple Brian and Karena

I arrived to the wedding of Brian and Karena on the 5th of June 2022. It was a beautiful summer morning and the birds chirped as I unloaded my gear from the car. As I was setting up, the morning sunshine streamed through the beautiful colours in the glass windows of Islandeady church. I always find that there is a vivacious buzz in the air on the morning of a wedding.

Friends and family gathered. The excitement was palpable from hearing their whispers and laughter. Catching up with old friends and welcoming new ones. During this time, my piano accompaniment played quietly to greet people to the sound of music.

The groom and his groomsmen arrived and walked up the aisle, met with hugs and handshakes from eager family members. Moments later, I began singing ‘Make you feel my love’ by the magnificent Adele. The congregation were on their feet and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Karena walked up the aisle accompanied by her loving father. She looked radiant in a timeless simple white gown.

During the signing of the register, the bride and groom chose three beautiful songs:

  1. ‘How long will I love you’- Ellie Goulding
  2. ‘I’m Yours’- Jason Mraz
  3. ‘Just the way you are’- Bruno Mars

After this, the lovely couple selected a number of songs from the playlists on my website for the communion and any other intervals. Our next big moment was when the couple exited the church. ‘Better together’ by Jack Johnson was sung and the endless smiles, shouts and cheers from the crowd pulsed through the church. The couple walked out the door hand in hand ready to embark upon their journey through this life together.

We wish them endless happiness and good fortune.

Heres another about the beautiful Adele and Eilish, have a read about the wonderful day we had with them...

It was a cold winters morning. Family and friends gathered outside Castlebar church. Their breath hung in the air like the melody of a song. As the wrapped their coats tighter around themselves, they chatted excitedly and held on to each other bursting with emotion. Any time that had passed since they had last seen each other seemed totally irrelevant today.

The congregation walked into the church filled with the beautiful smell of fresh pink roses and baby’s breath. As they took their seats, a sweet melody of ‘Prelude’ in C major on piano echoed throughout the church. When the beautiful bride and her bridesmaids arrived, they entered the church to the sounds of ‘A thousand years’ by Christina Perri.
When the Adele first locked eyes with his Eilish it was simply electric. Eilish's father gave her away and the service began.
Both brides wanted an energetic and unforgettable exit. They wanted it to be a celebration of what was to come and for everyone to be on their feet. They went with the song ‘This will be’ (An everlasting love) by Natalie Cole.
